Some(but not all) of my Crocus have opened in the sunshine this morning(some have been in flower for weeks but just never opened in the damp, dull, cold weather) And the Primroses will soon be covered with beautiful yellow spring flowers!!!

Hey, Paul! Thanks for the welcome.
Now that I've made you smile my work here is done!
Joking apart, my fone is android, 2nd-hand, so it looks like it may be some time, until I can upload (Is that the right word?) any pics.
Love the vibrant yellow colour!
Are snowdrops crocuses, too?

Lovely to see some colour starting to show in the gardens round here. The snowdrops are just about to finish flowering here. It is foggy and frosty this morning and I'm glad I pottered about in the garden a couple of days ago, tidying round. It has been a long, cold, dull winter for us and the wildlife. I hope the hedgehogs will come out of their hibernation o.k. at the end of it all. I shall leave some food down at the end of the month just in case they are awake and hungry.

Yes, Linda, a long, drawn out winter. And, it seems, it's far from over yet! more snow forecast for this coming weekend and it's dull, damp and cold here today!
I think a lot of animal/insect nos will be down this year if it doesn't warm up soon!!

The last couple of winters have been hard for the wildlife and we've noticed a decline in insects last summer which caused a decline in bats too we only saw a couple. The wrens haven't been seen in my garden this winter. If the cold weather goes on much longer I expect the beekeepers will have to feed their bees. From 1st January we've had as many frosts as the whole of 2011

I can well believe it Linda.a long, late winter! And more to come! Pirbat family were still here last year.Always see one flying around my from garden in the summer!
