I know, so much of it is now genetically modified and tastes horrible or have no taste what so ever. It is a treat to pick from your own tree and your own garden (or neighbours garden - in my case).

Yes, we're so lucky here in San Diego,also. We have a 365 day growing season. There's always some kind of produce coming in all year. Close to coast in norther San Diego County is a huge winter-growing tomato region. Although, I think this year hasn't been the best. It's been cooler than normal the last two month, which is very unusual.
The famous Ranunculus fields of Carlsbad are almost three weeks behind on their normal blooming cycle. They're all just starting to bloom now.
