Hope you will have some more Driad. We will be heading up north in 3 weeks , our weather up there is very similar to UKs. So I might share your cries for sun.
Here down south in Mexico every single day is warm and sunny. "Disgusting". I think we come back next year again. We found Arizona not so warm in winter months.
Cheers

Very nice looking Pachypodium lamerei! This plant can grow very tall here in San Diego...I love the white flower in late summer and fall.

You're welcome. :>)

Are you ever in this Mexican town in summer? I'm sure you're missing out on the Plumerias blooming, also.

Hi Klahanie ..

Hello Terra, They are punky looking things. Very noticable. I saw couple today, little bigger than these in front of home and they sure got my attention.

Delonix , some plumerias are already blooming here.

Wow! That's early for Plumeria rubra even for in Mexico. Maybe it's Plumeria obtusa 'Singapore'. My Singapore Plumeria can bloom any time of the year (depending on the weather, it hasn't bloomed this winter at all, not like last year when it was blooming a lot). The earliest the Plumeria rubra hybrids varieties bloom here in San Diego is in mid to late April.

These have a white flowers Delonix.

Can you take a photo? It's either Plumera rubra 'Celadine' or Plumeria obtusa 'Singapore' which is evergreen.

This is the first year in 13 years of living in San Diego, in which my Singapore Plumeria has not bloomed at least once during winter. This is how much cooler than normal it's been this past January and February (extremely unusual!). Last winter my Singapore was blooming like the middle of summer, it was so warm to hot.
