I love her - she sleeps in the summer and wakes up in late winter.

Agree, been in my collection since acquiring it many years ago from the late Alfred Evans who named it after his wife.He was another great plants man and character who i will not forget.

So delicate and pretty! The foliage looks lovely as well as the flowers.

It is difficult, Dd. My C. solida (the mauve one) is under the Choisya ternata, which seems to have grown a lot since last year, so bye-bye Corydalis. :-(

Annoying isn't it, have lost so many that way, our Choisya (green one) has just been taken out it got very large and straggly, the Sundance has to be pruned every year to keep it confined to our small borders....

I went out and rooted around under the Choisya, and it's still there! :-) I'll have to try to give it some light and air.

Spritz
There is no problem moving them as they die back in about a month, you need a stick or marker right up close to them otherwise they are the devil to find and often deeper than you would expect.
I tried to move some Brick Red ones a couple of years ago could not find them thought they were lost, following spring up they came as normal.
7 Mar, 2013
Yes, I do mark them, Brian. I might move it - thanks. It would be easier than cutting the Choisya back.

There may be 3or4 corms judging by them in the Picture

Sorry - I was talking about the Corydalis that's hiding under the Choisya. That's an 'ordinary' C. solida, I seem to remember.

Looked for ours, and still no sign, more money down the drain lol

I had a whole box of plant labels, and in our 'decluttering' mode, it went to the tip. It was a bit of a sobering thought that each of the labels represented a plant. :-O
10 Mar, 2013
I know B, I still have labels from 15 years back, which I need to throw away, as the plants have long since gone........
10 Mar, 2013
It would have been a huge task to sort them all out, so I got rid of all of them. Also, you're right - a constant reminder of long-gone plants. :-(
