Hi Milky,
I am not growing them :-(
We are here in Mexico only for winter. We live on Vancouver Island in Canada and I grow the same plants as you do. But I agree that Delonix is lucky . He grows these but he cannot grow lilacs and peonies and they are beautiful as well.

Klahanie:
Yes, we're very lucky here in San Diego, as we can grow many tropical and subtropical plants. However, there's that sacrifice...we cannot grow tulips (which I love) without putting the bulbs in the refrigerator. Cherries, apples, lilacs, peonies, and most plants which need high chilling requirements will not grow here at all!

Forget the plumeria, I wish I could grow mangos, papayas, limes, avocados or bananas.

I grow papayas, and several varieties of bananas, guavas, allspice, Cuban oregano, coffee. My Coffee tree has declined over the last year...not sure why? It used to be a super producer of coffee cherries and an incredible bloomer with very sweet flowers.
Here's a photo of my coffee tree in bloom with fruit:

So beautiful! Reminds of Hawaii...this is why I have dozens. lol! :>)
This variety has nice lemony, sweet-smelling flowers.
