There's several Pink Ipê trees flowering in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Photo taken Mar. 11, 2013.

I think the ones that are blooming there are Tabebuia rosea. There's several T. rosea in this area; however, they haven't bloomed yet.
Tabebuia rosea has much lighter colored flowers.

Sometimes it's difficult to id the exact species, as there's almost 100 speices of Tabebuia.

Beautiful, seems little darker than the pinkTabebuia I see around here
