Katerina very kindly sent me a pack of Aquilegia caerulea mix
planted 2.3.13, in with Sweet Pea seeds.
covered with sliced chilli as a squirrel-deterrent

lol Kat, it sbould do! I added a note to my "add plant" for this one, but it hasn't carried over to the pic; I'll have to find it and post in on the pic as well.

we only had a light dusting, so fingers crossed. But fingers crossed even harder that the chilli will keep the squirrels off - I used the rest of the pack on some plant troughs, and they've got new excavations in them!
I looked yesterday but couldn't see anything poking up yet; mgiht be too early or might never be anything to poke up - time will tell, hope!

lol had some more snow on them today, it didn't last long, but I suppose there'll be more before it's done for the year. no idea whether they'll survive that, but will have to wait and see.
