it was about 4 inches deep here this morning, some disappeared in the rain but its sleeting again now.

Hi Moti it is still snowing and blowing a gale almost 8pm. the drifts are against both doors so not opened them!!

It has been non stop since about this time last night Sticki, the village was on the welsh news tonight as no traffic through!

have you got lots of food in the cupboard neellan? there was a welsh town or village on our news ~ there is due to be a wedding but no one can get into or out of the village?

Yes thanks Sticki went shopping yesterday! the village you mention is Northop not far from here fingers crossed for them as it is still snowing heavily :o(

i would never have thought snow falling in march would settle or stay!

With restraint,Neellan..:o) Hell and high water,yes..but not over a foot of snow,which is what we have here this morning..and still coming down...mega snowdrifts as well..I might have to settle for a boring rich tea,if supplies dwindle :o))..We might have to venture out to our local shop at some point,as three of our elderly neighbours live alone..I will be ringing round later..just hope the shop has managed to get deliveries,if they need anything...I can't remember it being as bad as this for a long time..

No deliveries to our local village PO for 2 days, main road as yet unploughed, snowdrifts up above windowsill height here, however i have supplies in including chocolate digestives and some Mother's day chocs left too!! I hope you are able to get to help your neighbours

Now I know why they annouced that the Horseshoe Pass was closed on Friday... I can remember driving up the pass one Christmas Eve. We were following a Tipper Lorry and only just about made it...! No mobile 'phones in those days to warn Mother-in-law that we were going to be very very late!

Happy days Tracey!! I drove over there on Wednesday morning it was foggy and there was snow on the mountains it was rather scary but passable the warning lights at the head of the pass were on! It was better coming back after lunch as the fog had lifted! still snowing here Sun pm!!
