That's like me with variegated plants! I have tried Dodonaea in my garden, but it was killed in a bad winter. It was lovely though, so I really hope you have a better success. :)

I hope so Karen , we had to take out some old shrubs along the garage wall it was a good excuse to choose with a colour plan in mind ,the shrubs are small at the moment they should look pretty when they all bush out :o)

This large shrub or tree is native to the Southwest U.S. and is very widely used in California...in some cases very over-used in the landscape. It's a beauty, though! :>)

This is a new one to me, very attractive leaves. I love dark leaved plants too.
