Ten foot?! That's deeper than I have ever known it! That's scarily deep! Is that what it's like on the isle of Arran too?

I know the worst since 1979 here in NE Wales, blizzards and strong easterly winds together and non stop. I Don't know about the Isle of Arran though :o(

My eldest son was born in that winter, was quite snowy while I was in hospital but not too terrible in the midlands.
Arran was on tv a couple of days ago the west side was badly hit and no power for several days with power cables broken I think

Hi Neena
Good photo... I like the way you've pictured the pheasant pacing through the snow ... :o)
Are the smaller birds still visiting ?
26 Mar, 2013
Ah I hadn't seen the report on Arran Sticki, even worse when you have no power, My son was born Dec that year too :o)
Hi TT yes he made me smile high stepping it out there, the smaller birds are definitely still visiting, fortunately I had stocked up with seed and nuts on Thursday too! :o)

Thanks Bloomer he is a regular visitor but has never attempted the peanut feeder before for obvious reasons!! '79 was a good year for babies if not the weather it seems! Talking about weather enough is enough you're right :o)

The beautiful colours of the pheasant show up wonderfully with the backdrop of snow. A good one for homemade Christmas cards next year Neena!
