What a good thing you did the shopping, did they forecast this much snow?

Isn't it just awful,Neellan? ours looked like this as well..but got it all clear now..our main roads are ok,and also our side road..with all the helpers doing a grand job on Sat/Sunday..We were able to get to the local supermarket for basics, yesterday, and a few extras....so we don't need to go out for a while..had another light covering overnight, and it looks very icy..
...Our daughter managed to take Thomas to nursery yesterday, but they hadn't cleared the road leading to it,and the school..The snow plough was unable to get through,,for all the parked cars on either side.Poor little soul fell 3 times, and was very upset..and when she got him inside, she had forgotten his shoes..so had to walk back home to get them:o(...needless to say,she was very late getting to work !..
I do hope it shifts before long, for us all..take care..not a good forecast for Easter though..I remembered to get chocolate yesterday,so I'm sorted Lol.:o)

The forecast was an amber warning for snow Sticki :o(
Dreadful Bloomer the car is clear now, the main roads are fine, the weight of snow has crashed our 3 year old car port, Assessor on his way is stuck in a snow drift omg!! I will attempt to do shopping tomorrow ok til then, there will be a chocolate panic attack here if more snow prevents me from getting to the shops!!
Aw poor Thomas snow seems fun til their cold and wet!!
It will be a fur Easter bonnet for us all this year I guess!!
Roll on the thaw and proper spring weather so we can GARDEN :o)
Thank you TT it was an omg moment when I saw the car for the 1st time!! the snow was solid you had to cut it in blocks - igloo anyone!! I'm safe and warm though,
and not venturing forth beyond my drive just yet :o)

That is deep. I remember it like that here in 1981. I didn't see my car for nearly a fortnight.

That is the year I remember as really bad too Hywel the JCB couldn't raise the arm high enough to get the snow off the lane over the drifts - when I lived in the highest village in Wales and the house was 3 lanes off the main road - much worse than this - bad as this is!! :o)

That must have been bad :o(
I remember seeing the tops of tree branches poking out through the drifts, they sere so deep.
You lived in the highest village in Wales :o)

Oh sorry I didn't mean to click like, I have never seen snow like this, not in England or wales! Did that all fall in the space of two days?
Hope you are ok, keeping warm safe and cheerful.
