Hair today, gone tomorrow?

Hair today, gone tomorrow?

Had my hair cut yesterday: asked the hairdresser to save the cut hair, so that I could put it out for the birds for nest-lining material. He cut about four inches off all over, but this is what he gave me. I've put it in a fatball feeder to keep it in one place but (hopefully) still accessible, Time will tell. Or not

THAT is very unusual idea, Fran! Why do you think that birds do not have enough building material in the nature? Or is it your wish to be present, at least by peace of you, in those nests high above all people, close to the sky?? ;-)
I was at hairdresser yesterday, too, but was so much worried what will be the end, that I forgot to think on others, lol. By the way, you have nice colour of hair, so typical for islanders.

Fran@Do you know this pray of Francis from Asissi, which is called "pray of all ecologists"?:

It's just that I read that human and pet hair can be used by birds to line their nests, so I thought, why throw it away if it can be recycled?

That's not exactly my natural hair colour, though. I used to have it coloured, but got fed up with the grey showing - so I had it dyed grey, so that when new hair grew it wouldn't show! There's still some of my natural colour, and some of the last time I had it coloured.

I'll check out that link, thanks KAt

Lol! They will have to pay you rent for their nests!

only if I can spot which bitds take them and find their nests! can't see me knocking and demanding rent. It's no use to me once it's been cut, so might as well try to let others make use of it if htey can and if they want to.
