I love tulips

They look good.

I really like this one...not too tall...:>)

I love them! I wish I could grow them here; but, it's too warm!

I've heard about your horribly cold winter. We had below temps for Jan/Feb, which is pretty rare; however, it's been warm to very warm since the beginning of March.

It's still way too warm for tulips to be kept in the ground all year here in San Diego, CA. I've tried, they become deformed monster plants. LOL! :>) It's not pretty!

I know i complain about the cold Delonix...but i dont like the weather to be too warm either...There's no pleasing me..lol.....I think i would miss not having Tulips...:>)

Yes, I know we do the same thing here in San Diego. This past Jan/Feb (even with our few heatwaves) was below normal...and us San Diegans were complaining a lot about the below normal temps. When daytime temps stay at 60ºF (16ºC), we're freezing and complaining. The temps even in January are usually always around 70ºF (21ºC) or warmer, and 90ºF (32ºC) during the day is not unusual.

I suppose its what a person is use to, 16 degrees would suit me fine..lol

That's very true...it's what your used to...we're used to warm weather pretty much all year.

It's been cooler than normal the last couple of days...we can't wait until the 80ºF (27ºC) weather returns on Wednesday.

We were in Cyprus 2009 for my nieces's wedding, it was August and it stayed at 45c all week...I shall never forget how uncomfortable i was.....:<((

That's very, very hot! We can get similar temps in late summer and fall. I hate it! It burns the plants.

Last mid-Sept. we had one day when the temp was 108ºF (42.2ºC) and stayed above 100ºF (38ºC) from 10:00 am to about 9:00p.m. Many of my plants were burned, even my tall, large Plumeria tree in the ground had burned leaves...and Plumeria trees love extreme heat.

Oh goodness, i have seen the beautiful Plumeria trees on holiday...its never so bad if the plant recovers.....

Plumeria trees are deciduous in winter. The trees recover from extreme heat very well.
