They are Anemone Blanda and very easy to grow if they like the conditions. I love these.

Hope you don't mind if I tell you some more Mouldy. In September Lidl and Aldi usually get in bulbs and corms. You can buy a packet of these quite cheaply and have your own wonderful show next year. I think from looking at your photographs of your garden that you have raised the soil level a bit. That will work well giving them a free draining soil.

I was tempted to buy some but our soil is far from free draining so I had to walk away which is a pity as they are so sweet.

Wildrose have you tried digging out the area where you want to plant them. Go down a good 8-12" if possible then mix some stone chips in with the soil as you replace it. That worked for me.

Yes, it would be worth a try but our garden has a tendency to revert to how it was before - caused by bad management I fear! I would like to grow some so many thanks for this :-)

Thanks from me, too, Scotsgran!
The more I learn this year the less to take in next year, so just you keep on telling me.
I'm only too happy to listen.
You're right about the soil level.
I dug & turned over two spades deep, then added 6" of topsoil, once I'd put in the trellising & border boards.
I kept thinking - If I snuff it doing this they won't have any probs burying me here! Lol.

Hope you put it in your will lol.

Actually I've opted for dry roasting, but it should still provide some potash. ;-)

I don't know what they are, but they remind me of daisies.
