There were two, but I hoed one off....but, these things happen :S The leaves come later, and they are also very pretty.

I hadn't 't heard of it either, until I saw it on Sanbaz's pages a few years ago. Now San's has 15 flower stems...have a look at her pics. It is a bog plant...needs moisture, but mine is not currently very damp, so perhaps it's like filipendula and not that choosy!

Thanks Karen - I'm going to have a look. Yeah, the moisture bit!!! The part of my garden that was flooded last year is as dry as a bone!! I'm glad I haven't forked out for lots of plants yet. I've been trying bits and bobs from elsewhere in the garden. If they die they die - that's the motto for that part of the garden this year!
