Most of us buy plants for interesting characteristics...not necessarily for flowers, right?

That's true. I do love trees/plants which have pink, red or burgundy new leaves. My large Ficus cyathistipula tree in the back yard just flushed new growth with reddish new leaves. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos.

Maybe next year. It is not always about getting ptotos its about the enjoyment of that moment in the yard.

I won't have to wait until next year...Ficus trees grow so very quickly...they have many, many flushes of new growth throughout the year.

Lucky you.

Yes, everything grows too fast. I have to do another major pruning of the plants/trees soon. I just did a major pruning about two months ago.
