Hi Motti I shall keep as I love them, they do get tatty I agree but think this year I shall chop them back after they have flowered and see what happens, maybe do it with one and see if it is ok don't want to lose them.

I love them too, one of the highlights watching the buds develop, then the beautiful flowers followed by the very attractive seed heads, wouldnt be without them;0)

I love the way they unfold they are really pretty, yes the seed heads are very pretty too. I have one that I transplanted from somewhere in the garden and I have no idea what colour it will be it is exciting waiting to see which plant has produced the baby.:O)

Deadheading works well with poppies and keeps them flowering longer. That's a beauty!

I have a pink one which is at the top of the garden and has a lot of buds but none open yet, that is my favourite when it opens, I like this one because it is so bright but the pink one is something special for me. :O) will post a picture when it opens up :

It almost looks shy!

I like their slightly crumpled look as they open out.

I have some like these Oliveoil, they are not out yet though. I gave my daughter several clumps this year, because I am getting far more than I had expected!!!!
I don't know if she is having success bringing them on. I must get in touch and find out!
Do you know if they will tolerate being moved?

Mine get moved all the time Shirlwhirl, they seem to do fine we have heavy clay soil here so maybe if she has sandy light soil they would need a lot of watering in. Hope they survive for her. :O)

They are such a delicate petal Wildrose, this horrible wind is bashing them about. How on earth they survive is amazing to me. No more dared to open out their shells yet. lol :O)
