Yes it has 6 petals, but this is pretty much fully open now.

It is special HB! But cost just a fiver (if I remember correctly) last spring from Cotswold Garden Flowers (which is not too far from Sticki!).

I agree........just dont bake a cake that has sweetened condensed milk in it!!!! My mum just did that with her new oven ~ didnt notice some of it had leaked out of the tin, so now it has burned on and wont come off!

Always keep an old foil tray in the bottom of mine!

I remember the first time I posted photos of this plant. They were growing wild and blooming in Balboa Park. I didn't even know the name of this plant. I think you may have identified it for me. I remember thinking it was a form of Polianthes tuberosa (Tuberose), which I know is very tropical and grows very well here.

That was odd - you posted it the same day as I bought mine.

That's so ironic! Now that I looked at the photo I posted last year you were indeed the person to id it for me.
