Thanks all, sorry to hear you lost yours Amy, I lost mine 2 years ago in the hard winter this is its replacement, I also planted a white one beside so they grow together.
Klahanie, as you can see above just 2 years old but its planted next to my south facing wall and has grown to around 12ft high already. :o)

I wonder if all abutilons grow that size. I bought the pink one (the flowers are insignificant) earlier this spring but it is not more than 2' tall and wide. I like the characteristics of it.

No some are much smaller klahanie depends on the variety.
