This is one of the resident moorhen who is sunning itself on the yellow flag iris in the pond. Caught site of her and her reflection through the kitchen window, even the plastic heron looks good from this angle!

Thanks Jane, The view is from the kitchen window and I spend a lot of time watching the moorhens and the other birds from there. They are quite characters and chitter away if you walk up the garden - I do tell them it's my garden!

Oh that's a lovely view. The neighbour's chickens sometimes come down our hill...but not lately. we have wild turkeys that visit.
