If I could only have one rhododendron it would be that one. I love the varieties that have unique flower colors and that is one of the most eye-catching rhododendrons I've seen.

You must be a mind-reader RK! your words;"If I could have one Rhododendron, it would be that one" are the exact words used by my good friend Walter when he introduced it to me, over 25 years ago; I share that sentiment, and it is my all-time favourite. I think of it as "peaches & cream" when they first open, the blooms are apricot-pink,
slowly changing to a warm cream, flushed with pink.
You must get one!

I will definitely be looking for one of these this Spring! I have been buying more mountain laurels than rhododendrons because I got tired of the standard pinks, reds and purples I always saw on rhododendrons (the more unique colors are hard to find here). If I had more space for them, I would have a garden full of Rhododendron and Kalmia but I only have a small area with partial shade and wind protection.
