I bought the seed on a whim, but despite it being just a small plant I'm really pleased with it. Hard to say why - just nicely different. Hopefully they will self seed.

I'm guessing it's an annual, if you're hoping it's going to self-seed, right?

I wonder if it makes a good dried flower (with its interesting flower form).

The more common species certainly does!
