havent checked Olly for a while SL but i hope hes ok. The flower has gone over now but another is starting to come out : )

That's a good idea for a pond Stevie. We bought a half barrel and have filled and emptied it several times before putting fish in. Everything went well for a week or so and then it started to smell funny. We tried several times to replace some of the water, but it must have been something in the wood of the barrel as it kept making a bad bacteria. We tried introducing good bacteria and that didn't work, Then we ended up taking the fish out altogether as they began to suffer. They are in a plastic container at the moment. Gerry has tried all sorts of concoctions to correct the problem but no luck, so we are going to line the barrel before putting everything back in. We've also treated all the plants, so let's hope this works.
