Just to show you one of your Day lilies flowered today,Denise :o)
It will be two years on the 27th August, since I received them..just checked my photo's ...out of the three, two survived ,and this is the only one in flower so far.I don't think the other one will this year..no sign of anything, but it's still alive..
Isn't this a lovely colour? I am delighted with it,and thank you so much, once again..and they say Patience is a virtue seldom found in women.. a load of old tosh ! :o)

It's exciting,Scottish, when you see the first flower, isn't it?
I only saw it as I was doing some dead heading this afternoon..as it is now evening,it is already starting to go over..but about four more buds to come :o)

That's a shame,Neena..I hope mine don't..I did put little sticks in to remind me where they were..trouble is,I have a lot of little sticks..Lol.I really must make an effort and label them properly :o)

Thats lovely Bloomer the colour is rich. After taking some years to establish (originally planted too near a dark dry fence) I find you only need one of these to get several more each year. Isnt it lovely to see our swapped plants in other gardens.

Love the idea of your little sticks! wouldn't work for me though - I'd forget what they were there for :o)

Glad you have seen it Denise..it's a beauty isn't it?
I shall look forward to seeing more of them..Do I take off the flowers as they die,or just leave them please?
I guess I won't have the pleasure of seeing the other flowers open,as we are going away on Saturday..so I am happy it decided to show itself beforehand..and yes,it's amazing how many of our plants are thriving in other gardens..

That's why I should label them,Neena..I forget too ! Lol.It's been a case of being careful where I put my feet, more than anything..so I know there is something there..:o)

Yes I dead head mine to keep them flowering and leave the foliage to die back removing them when yellow and dry.
