Thanks ladies. Btw Motinot..you asked about suggestions re growing vegetables cos you lose interest? Give it up like I did lol! Lettuce decimated by slugs, manky potatoes, insects on the carrots, chewy kidney beans..been there done that...never again!!

LOL I'm beginning to think along those lines , onions bolting again ,why do we put ourselves through it when we can buy a stone in a net from a road side farm ? having said that I Love my new potatoes ..

Amy, I guess its a sense of satisfaction and achievement (when you get a good crop) but now I feel Ive earned the right to surround myself with beautiful flowers and moan at the poor quality of veg in the supermarkets lol!
