Today after rain last night and a grass cutting session!

Im not suprised it looks so lush and inviting;0)

One of the benefits of heavy clay soil it holds the damp better than the sandy soils and the grass stays greener for longer here. I am lucky, but not when digging the ground out for the borders, phew that was hard work, lots of compost later and it is all good now. It does help to hold the colour in the garden though. Nice at the moment out there the sun has just come out after a very dull morning. Hope you are having a good day too Pansy :O)

Hi Olive I am trying to catchup on here, so hard when you have been away! The sun is shining again after a couple of short showers this morning, I have just tried to stake Luciefer which is sprawling all over the borders, but like you I have Heavy clay soil which has gone rock hard with the hot sun, Ive just broken a coupe of stakes so will leave it until I water later on1 But everything is looking very colourful;0))

It looks lovely, Barbara. I was so glad to get rain at last - and now the water butts are full. We have been so lucky - nearly all the rainfall has been overnight.

Thank you Melchi, yes it has been like that (weather wise) with us, great to get rain over night. Hot here again today, very sticky tonight.
