Hywel, my cats don't go out at night. A couple of the local lads have air pistols and take delight in terrorising cats and other wildlife! I know what I'd like to do with their pistols but I'd end up being the one in trouble!!!!
Louisa, why can't you have a cat? Are you allergic?

I can't have a cat because I live with my parents who are very old, 86 and 90, and they are unsteady on their feet. They'd get scared of tripping over a cat, and as I'm out at work all day, they'd have to deal with it's needs while I'm out. Next door has a beautiful ginger cat and a little grey kitten but they won't come near me for some reason. One day I'll have cats, but for now I'd rather keep Mum and Dad!

Yes, I understand your reasoning Louisa. A similar reason to why we did not want another dog. I live with my mum and although she would love another dog, she knows that in theory she would be unable to care for it sometime in future and it would not be fair on the dog.
You will have your cats when the time is right.
A shame next door's cats don't come to you, maybe the kitten will come eventually. I'm currently looking after my neighbours cats whilst they are away for a few days

Blodyn never went out in the night, but Bella just won't stay in. I can't sleep because I worry about her. If I try to keep her in, she YELLS until I let her out.

It must be very difficult for you Hywel, I suppose she never got the chance to go out until she came to live with you so now she wants to make the most of it!
