Alstroemeria inca 'Yuko'

...for Annie...almost forgot, but I really wanted to put this on for you as I know you're going to love it. It is very similar to Purple Rain, but a bit pinker and very much more compact, which is good. I think the Incas are very popular in the GC right now, so look out for this one. The leaves are a lovely glaucous bluey hue, and mine is currently about 10" tall.

Thank you...it's even better because it is so compact. I don't like tall sprawly plants!

Our local garden centre sells bunches of alstoemeria and the colours are so much more vibrant than the ones found in supermarkets - this one of yours is gorgeous.

It's gorgeous Karen. Purple Rain is still flowering well in my front garden but does need a bit of support now :o)

yes, and I don't like plants that need support as I never spot them until they flop!
