What a beauty. Whoever gave it such a dreadful name?! The would have been better calling it Red velvet!

I agree Karen, its definitely a red velvet - I would love a dress, shoes or lipstick that colour!

It's wonderful...much better than lucifer. I shall add it to my faves for my next garden. :)

Fabulous colour Hel and not so in your face as Lucifer...mine only sends out one flower spike too!

Thanks Janey, I wish the camera could pick up the red a bit clearer. I have to say though..I do like lucifer. I also like Emily Mckenzie. I would like an apricot coloured one, but, which one? Does anybody grow one that they think's nice - or got any suggestions?

Have a look at Mr Crocosmia Hel, he still comments on here now and again.....but he has some beauties!
Apart from Lucifer I have the usual old fashioned orange Montbretia which is very pretty and could do with splitting...you're more than welcome to some corms.
