What sort of bush is that mighty one on the front left, please? Green and white colour combinations is always elegant and calming.

Katarina, it is a Japanese maple "Crimson Queen" which will turn crimson colour next month. It starts as deep red in the spring and slowly turns almost green over the summer and then burning red in fall. The ideal location is in dappled shade. This one has as much sun as it can have on our property which is surrounded with huge Douglas trees and Western red cedars. It is a beautiful plant with cascading branches. It is very popular in Japanese gardens cascading over the edge of a water feature.

What is the name of the rose please? It is perfectly placed :-)

Oh, Wildrose I wish I knew. They were here when we moved in. about 1/2 a dozen beautiful roses along the front I do not have name for.

Crimson Queen? At the first sight I thought it was some soert of smaller cyprus. I love acers, their leaves create fantastic colourful show during the year. I also have three in my garden, but two of them are still small.

It really shines in October. Looking at these pictures, I can see how much the other plants have grown in a year or 2.
