I have never had a luck with re-blooming my orchids. So I am quite pleased to see a flower spikes on my cymbidium after many years just looking at the big leaves.

Still waiting Delonix. But the buds are bigger now. I took it inside. it is pouring rain on Vancouver Island right now.
I have one exactly like that but no blooms. They were both in the same conditions.

Cymbiums usually bloom usually from fall - spring. It should bloom in November, December as long as it doesn't freeze.
You should send us some of your rain. lol! It's so hot and dry here the last couple of days. We need the rain very badly.

I wish I could, although the big Western Red Cedars and the huge Douglas firs around here are appreciating that.
We had a very dry summer...we usually do.
I wish you could send us little bit of warmth.
Unfortunately we are not going to be around in November and December to see these in bloom. (I am sure my neighbour will appreciate them) We are heading back To Mexico within a month. We will be renting different house than last year and I understand that the owner has a orchid collection in his greenhouse so I am looking forward to that.

Yes, it would be nice to receive some decent rains.
I wish I could only say we had a dry summer; however, it's been dry for the last three years.
It appears when you get to Mexico you will be able to enjoy a lot more orchids. Winter is one of the best times for orchid blooms (here in San Diego, anyway).
