I grew these in a desperate attempt to provide some shade for the pond. It didn't work...but, I'm glad I did it because they are quite special. I love them!

I started them in the green house and, although they germinated quickly, they were quite small until August - when they romped away!. We didn't get enough sun either until then. Hopefully I'll get another couple of months out of them...and I'll, definitely, grow them again next year! :)

This one is called "Carmencita". The leaves are wonderful colours.

They're brilliant gap fillers, girls :)
I've still got most of the packet of seeds left...
...so, I think I'll try to start them off earlier next year. The bigger the better!

Aren't they just? We have one at the castle and it's beautiful! Most years we wouldn't have much chance with these...not enough sun. but this year has been perfect for them. We'll try again next year...always worth a try!
