Thanks! :>)
I have several varieties of Plumeria of many colors (pink, yellow, white, red-black, pastel pink, red, apricot and rainbow). This is the newest variety a Palm Society Member gave me a month ago.

A whole spectrum of colours there!

Yes, there's many thousands of varieties of plumeria. They grow as a large shrub or small tree (to: 25ft [8m]) tall outside here in San Diego, CA.

Bit big for my tiny garden, but very nice.

There's many dwarf varieties now. Some only grow to 4 or 5 ft tall.

What is the lowest temp they will stand - not just that, very wet in winter including snow.

Plumerias are tropical trees/shrubs. They prefer winter morning lows to stay between 40 - 50ºF (5 - 10ºC) and daytime highs of 68 - 80ºF (20 - 27ºC), which is common here in winter.
Wet and cool soil is lethal to plumeria trees (any time of the year).

That's a beautiful flower! It shape reminds me of the plastic windmills they sell for children!

Thank you kindly for the information, but I have nowhere to keep it warm!
Balcony - I was just thinking about you the other day!

Balcony:
Thanks! Yes, the flower has a pinwheel shape. It's pretty common with plumeria flowers. When this shrub gets established it should have dozens of blooms on a flower spike and will look like a bouquet of flowers.

Yes, plumeria trees need hot to very hot weather to grow and bloom well. When they're dormant in winter they need very dry soil and mild to warm weather. Freezing temps can kill even a large tree. Luckily, freezing weather is pretty much unknown here in San Diego, CA. The last time San Diego had an official freezing temp was more than 50 years ago (it's extremely rare!).

Lucky you!

Milky, thanks! I've been wanting this variety for a long time. The Palm Society Member who gave this large cutting had a large tree in his 5 acre garden. I was so surprised how large the tree was in just 5 years.

Unusual flower colour. I especially like the zingy orange/lemon in the middle. Pretty!
