We have quite a bit of pears this years on both pear trees. I wonder how pears freeze. I have never try that.
Any good recipes how to use them?
The picture is of "Bosc" pears. We also have "Bartlett" pear tree

Just today, when I have fever, I have a desire for juicy, cold, sweet pears. I think, I will go to Tesco for some.
Yours tree looks old and very healthy. Do you know what sort of pear is it?

In two batches Sheila. Bosc pears also ripe later than Bartlett. We are done with Bartlett pears. I baked some with cinnamon, coconut, and maple sugar (it is in the freezer) for future use. We are going soon "south" for the whole winter and hopefully it will keep till spring.
Katarina, sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I do not think you should go to a store.
This pear is Bosc, we also have another tree, Bartlett pears.
Take care.

I thought it is "Bosc bottle", as we call it. I was just not sure if it is known there under the same name.
Well, thank you, but I was working in garden today. Somebody tried to dig roots of all my roses, I have to earth them up again. Or it was some rose-oriented blackbird.
