Was you?? Oh, Klahanie, my dear ;-)
I was not born here, but I had eyes full of tears this week, when I was here for a short visit (congress). For the last time I visited Vysehrad in 1984 and a man, who guided me at that time and told me everything about almost every building, is not alive. I also realise how many dreams I had at that time, which never came true. So it was quite nostalgic re-visit.
And from what quarter in Prague you are?

Prague 10, and then 12 .
I love living on Vancouver Island now... but my heart stopped for a second when I looked at your picture.

Because we cannot erase what we lived.

beautiful architecture... Would love to visit Prague and see the Baltic Coast and Yugoslavia too...Have heard it is a wonderfully unspoiled scenic place. Living here in N.A. where our social history and architecture is at best 300 or so years, it is fascinating to see the older cities of Europe and Asia where people have lived for millennia. Congrats to you both.

Hi, Lorilyn, nice to meet you. Definitely go to see Malbork and Torun, the medieval old towns, from which ToruĊ is the birthplace of the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. They are in Poland. For Slovakia and the Czech republic you will need several weeks to see all beautiful places. Prague is definitely not the only one, although it has the highest density of artefacts and old buildings :-)
