Hi, it's a pity you don't know the variety, I am looking for a double flowered aster, and that looks a very nice one, Derek.

Wow, these look amazing and I love the color. I just sent my asters to the compost pile because they looked ratty and moldy and didn't bloom well.

Did a bit of googling and found two so far..'fellowship' and 'Marie Ballard'. It's gorgeous Annie? I've never seen one like that. They don't like heavy clay apparently, so you totally did the right thing moving it to the gravelly front garden.
