I hope it is successful,Shirl..it must be quite recent,as we didn't notice anything different when we were there a couple of years ago..but there again,we weren't really looking at the grass :o)

thanks, Shrily! it does look perfectly natural - I suppose the only way to tell will be that it stays green all year. It should certainly cut down on re-seeding or re-laying turf, saving the locals money, which they should be grateful for!
lol Bloomer, even if you weren't particularly paying attention to the grass, you'd probably have noticed if something didn't look right.

I must go down there soon & take another photo now that it has had a summer of people walking over it!!
I haven't been that way since, so I don't know how it has fared!
Bloomer, - it was only put down this last Spring, so you wouldn't have seen it. The river-bank was probably quite bare then, depending on what time of year you were here.

I couldn't tell the difference....perhaps that is the answer - it would save me a lot of mowing!!
Maybe not, I need the exercise!

I was looking at it up close there & it really is good.

So much depoends on the grade of materials used - a lot of sites have varying grades, the "basic" ie cheapest, would be the least natural looking, I suppose.

We are coming down that way before long,Shirl, but not sure if this will be on the itinerary..so I will have a look,if we do get to Bourton again....somehow,I don't think we will, but you never know...

It looks great. I expect the proper grass gets well trodden & worn down in this spot. Interesting to see how this artificial grass withstands the ravages of all the visitors to
Boughton.
