It should be blooming soon for you, right?

Virtually all the hundreds of species of Aloe bloom in winter here. The peak bloom is in January.

Wow! That's amazing you've never seen an Aloe bloom, before! They're so common here. I just equate them with winter...because most species bloom in the middle of winter. Pretty much all species of Aloe grow here (and that's hundreds of species and hybrids).

I have seen some of the more common ones flower over here, but not this one, this has to do a lot more curving if you know what I mean!

I like the small ones like this one for the garden.

My favorites are the ones that grow into large trees. Aloe barberae (fka: bainesii) is my favorite. It has salmon flowers and grows to more than 40ft (12m) tall here in California. My second favorite is A. thraskii which can grow to 25 ft (8m) tall.
