It didn't flower this year because of the very late arriving spring/summer

Dragon fruits grow well at your place too; I saw your photo of the flowers. They are surprisingly beautiful. Super elegant! I wonder if they've got any scent. Do the flowers last only one day? And in the night?

Yes, in inland San Diego we definitely have the heat. :>)
The dragon fruit flower don't have any scent. They have lots of pollen in them, though. The flowers open late at night and only last until morning.

Tumeric is a beautiful flowering plant. It grows very well here in San Diego, CA.
