It's lovely , I must admit it's ages since I last grew one, I must think about it next year !

It's bound to, Holly! Just keep it in a warm light place & with just a little water to keep it damp but not wet till the bud is on its way up, when you can give it a little more water, & it will flower quite happily. :-))

Don't feed it until after the flower has dried up & the leaves are growing. Then give it a weekly feed with a high potash fertilizer, like rose or tomato fertilizer. But don't let the pot sit in water for more than a few hours otherwise the roots will rot.

Seen your photo. Is the bud growing yet?

My plant has finished for this year & is now back in the chilly kitchen window with the rest of its companions! I haven't seen any other bulb with a bud at present but then I have them arranged in tiers in the kitchen & bedrooms windowsills! This makes it difficult to spot a bud very low down & often they are at least 30cm tall before I spot them!
