I would think that it was the breath on the air causing the mist .

You are probably right Driad. We don't usually get snow so early in the season. I think something is awry with the weather these days.

Me too! I went to New York (City, not state) for my 40th in March and it was freezing when we got off the plane! but for the rest of our time there the days were up in the high 60s and even low 70s. When we got home, the temps in New York City dropped to -12C...how about that for a blessing! I remember being struck by just how black all the plant life was...the grass etc...black...not like here where it goes yellow but remains above the soil. it's quite incredible how everything changes so quickly from that state to green and flowery over there. It must be amazing to observe! I don't think I would enjoy living in it though....too cooooold!

The winters here can be brutal.
