Thw whole garden, not all full or as lush as I usually expect. But the heat is starting to be penetrated by rains which finally came mid August and stayed with us almost right up to the freeze.

Thank you. Lori and I definately share some ideas on garden design and function. This time of year the spruce scent is masked by ripe raspberries. Something I adore about summer. I can't wait for it to fill in more, but its a good foundation. :-)

Thanks. The raspberries are followed by viburnum berries, an acquired smell, but mid july on, berries berries berries. And people wonder why we have so many bears......lol.! :-)

Do the bears come near to your home Gt?

I haven't seen any, but sightings both above and below have happened. But many years between each. I'm not nervous of brown bear, grizzly, so much, more a nuisance. That's mainly what we see this far north.

They terrify me. But people who live with them don't seem too scared. :) Happy Christmas GT!

It's lovely to see different styles of gardens on goy! and this one is unique....although it does share some elements with lori's woodland garden. I'd love to stroll along that path. I can almost smell the pine scent!
