Spartan Junipers

Those stand out well against the surrounding snow...

Yes, they really look great. What you can't see from the picture is that they are covered with little blue berries. The birds nosh on them all winter.

Nice for the birds to have food so easily available in the cold winter months.

I remember as a very young nurse , helping a patient with a bed-pan , and finding the contents bright green !
I was in near panic , when I was told that it was the effect of said patient having taken Juniper berries . ( I'm not sure what for .)

humm interesting! I know they are commonly used in all kinds of cuisine especailly game...and of course for making Gin.
