Willow tree cutted by beaver.

Willow tree cutted by beaver.

When I was on a walk with Noris early in the morning, we heard cracle of falling tree. We ran there, a willow growing at the bank, fell into the river. Then we saw a beaver, floating from there. Looked like a large cat. I think, he was smiling :-)

Yes, and they have orange colour, lol. But he is perfectly changing the water. Because of that dam and "falls effect", the water is better oxygenised in the lower part and deeper in upper part. Both very profitable for plants, fish and microorganisms.

There seem to be plenty of benefits :o)

Only gardeners are angry :-) The beaver cutted almost all decorative willows on banks (special sort of willows with curly branches - it seems he prefers this, probably it has soft wood).

yes... I guess those willows are easy for the beaver to bite ...
would be a pity if too many of the willows disappeared ..

They recuperate easily. Willow grows much better, if cutted.
