Ate cracked corn from the birdfeeder...cedar for dessert!

My house backs onto a bush.See the Deer every so often--foxes etc.Love the wildlife.

We live in a little far flung village with no street lights and when it's dark of the moon...It's very dark. The deer come down the hill into our little bowl valley and browse the apple trees and drink at the stream and pond. when they've eaten what we have to offer they cross the road to the neighbour just up the hill on the other side of us...There are miles and square miles of bush for them to roam...one of our neighbours loses her hens to foxes every winter...there are wolves and the newest interloper, the coyote, plenty of song birds and birds of prey. Wild turkeys sometimes come to the birdfeeder...I love it. Even though hubby and I have reached the point in life where most of our age group go to live in town, we came here for the peace and quiet...won't be leaving soon, I hope.

I hope you take your mobile out with you Lori , I have a friend who fell breaking her ankle she called and shouted but nobody could hear her she was there for ages before her OH came home she always takes her mobile out in her garden since then ...

Ready for a shock, Amy? LOL...we have no mobile service where we live! T. and I have an agreement. I always tell him if I'm going far afield and if I'm not back in what he considers good time he calls to me from the back deck...If I still don't answer then he has to come look for me. Usually I'm just out of earshot and he has to walk down the driveway yelling his lungs out! he's grumpy with me for a day or two. That's our system and it (kinda) works. lol...

Oh I didn't expect that !! no mobile service, it must give you quite a scare if nobody answers the call .. maybe some gongs set up at intervals with a big hammer thing to hit it with LOL ...
