...as usual, still with all its berries although the yellow ones have all been eaten :)

Gee - I am envious of this very healthy looking Pyracantha - I cut one of mine down today as it has been struggling for a year ... not a single berry this year so it's gone to the brown bin! Now I must plant something to cover the fence.

What a beauty ,that is strange ours birds are tucking into our red berries you have such a marvelous display perhaps they don't want to spoil it :o))

The birds never eat this one, Amy. It gives me a problem - because of all the berries I wont get any blossom this year unless I cut them all off now. Seems a shame to do that so I leave them until much later in the year, then give it a prune so I get blossom next year. The cotoneaster in the front garden is full of berries too although they have nearly all gone in the back garden, yet I see blackbirds etc in the front. Very odd :)

Birds can be so fussy Gee. They eat off my 8 port seed feeder and ignore the 4 port near to it. The chaffinches fight over the large one. All but the wood pigeons ignored the red bird cake I put out. Perhaps they don't like red too. The starlings go mad for the fat coloured bird cakes with seeds and insects but hated the pinky one. The pigeons and the blackbirds are potty on Rowan Berries.

Strange lot, aren't they, Dorjac. One bonus I have just discovered is that the starlings love those horrible little white bugs that eat my Heuchera roots - I put them in an escape proof pot and the starlings home in on them almost instantly :)
