Thank you Terra
Yes a long wait for probably the smallest cyclamen of all.
26 Feb, 2014
Well done for growing the cyclamen. I grew some a couple of years ago and they are in the garden flowering now Amy.

Yes TT they are looking good , it didn't take Brian long to catch up Julia / TT I'm going to have to be patient Brian I find that hard ! well done you Linda you are being rewarded for your green fingers :o))

How long did they take to germinate?
28 Feb, 2014
2 years Keith , I was about to throw them out I'm so glad I didn't .....
28 Feb, 2014
That's pretty patient!

There's hope yet then. I've got three pots marked cyclamen seedlings and been thinking the same thing, but one pot has a teeny weeny green leaf, so fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for your little leaf Pam don't give up , I have been know to nurture a stinging nettle growing in a pot before now, Lol ...

Amy I have come across a way of germinating them in the dark very quickly but it has its problems when the first one germinates it really needs light otherwise it goes up and falls over if you put it in the light the others appear not to germinate, All problems.lol

Oh Brian that made me laugh :o) it reminded me of the time I grew tomato seeds some grew up leggy before the others I was determined to make them stand upright so stood a cocktail stick beside each one with a plastic bag tie holding each one up in place ,my OH thought I was completely mad but they all survived and grew into strong plants :o)
3 Mar, 2014
That made me smile, we all do it don't we, tend our plants however tiny with loving care.......and I've grown a nettle in a pot for the butterflies too.
4 Mar, 2014
It goes to show us gardeners are all the same potty people ... Lol ... :o))
4 Mar, 2014
I too have grown a nettle before now , we are a little away with the faries sometimes , aren´t we Ç
