The Weigela would have to go - and it's the lovely one - 'Carnaval'.

yes, Carnaval is a lovely one B. I just have middendorffiana and the compact form of the Florida which I love. I'm not fond of the dark flowered ones. There was one here, so it came out. We have enough darkness in Scotland without dark leaved shrubs! Even though they are lovely.

sometimes I think plants might sufer from over-protection. That's how they evilved to live in the wild, sure they'll do ok

mine are not showing much bud yet and its the end of feb :o(
