bought 5th March, planted 8th. I had to cram nine per trough cos I didn't have enough compost to spread them over more troughs. Could have put them in the ground, but still got so m uch to dig up, bulbs to save, and where I've already dug is already full of potential.

The last time I tried growing these, they got squirreled to death - lost five troughs in a week. Only seen two squirrels here (or one twice), and it was just ambling across the lawn, so perhaps these will survive longer than the previous
