Red Tulip

Hi GG ... super colour ! :o)

I love red tulips! I'm trying to recall the name of the tulips that I planted in my other garden....they were late, very tall, and the blooms were peachy pink...but if you looked directly down into the blossom the inside was that firey red!
It took some digging but I found them! They are Menton, a Triumph Tulip...lovely large flowers and a surprise in every one!

I'm sure you have them pictured somewhere on your page Lori. I'll keep the name in mind and I'll be checking you out. Unfortunately, about the time my tulips were coming into flower, the winds began to blow daily and most of them were torn apart as soon as they attempted to push themselves up. My Irises are looking strong so I hope they at least will withstand the wind. I know the calendar said that Thursday was the first day of Spring but with the weather we have year round, the flowers ignore the calendar and do their own thing when they opt to do so. As a result it's been "spring" here for quite a while and I'm almost finished doing my spring planting!!
